Power-Packer recently exhibited at the China International Medical Equipment Fair; International Component Manufacturing & Design Show (CMEF) in Shanghai. The largest exhibition of medical equipment, related products and services in the Asia-Pacific region, CMEF offered the opportunity to highlight Power-Packer’s medical portfolio of products and a preview of its latest product, the electrical drive unit (EDU), as the next generation in actuation.
The EDU is an electro-hydraulic system that combines a hydraulic pump, a cylinder and an electric motor. With this high power-dense system, it is possible to vary load and velocity in either direction, independently of each other. The system only needs an electric power connection to function. It was designed for applications where precise adjustment at variable loads and/or velocities is required. Our multiple configuration options allow the EDU to perfectly fit in multiple applications. A soft start-stop feature ensures comfort and safety. This high power-dense system makes it possible to fully control the acceleration and velocity even under the heaviest loads.

Show visitors were given a very positive impression, and our customers now have a much greater appreciation and understanding for our high-quality products.”
Throughout the four-day trade show, the team distributed 83 catalogs and made 28 contacts, primarily from the Chinese provinces of Hebei, Shandong, Jiangsu and Guangdong. Show visitors were mainly Chinese manufacturers due to COVID-19 travel restrictions. Six of the contacts were prospects interested in developing new hydraulic hospital beds and lifts.
CMEF is held twice annually, spring and fall. Attendance at the spring show was 120,000, which was higher than 2020 but still down due to COVID-19.
